[It's just a few doors down, so it doesn't take Minato long. When he shows up, he's noticeably scuffed up, a bruise spreading along his jaw. His other injuries are hidden-- nothing too bad, but enough that he has the wan, tired look of those that probably shouldn't be standing too long.
In typical Minato fashion, he hasn't said anything about this and probably won't until forced to. He knocks before letting himself in as a compromise to politeness.]
[ Hiro, meanwhile, is uninjured - though there are some half-used rolls of bandages next to his bed that indicate he's had to use them recently. Hiro's room is ... well, he's working right now, so everything on the floor is in the air. He's floating everything with his technopathy to make a sort of 3-D workspace. Tools stacked neatly in this corner, helpberbots and their parts floating over here, that kind of thing. It is a bit of a minefield though.
Hiro pauses, too, when he sees Minato. That really doesn't look good. ]
[That's pretty neat looking. Fortunately, Minato is by nature meticulous, so he comes only a little way into the room and is careful not to disrupt anything.]
Yeah. I've never fought without my Persona before, [he admits. Akihiko and Shinjiro probably had a few bruises themselves from their encounter with the Hornets.] It was a little rough.
[He disconnects his mp3 player from his headphones where it's hanging around his neck, then holds it out, assuming Hiro will float it over to him. It's a tiny silver cylinder with a low tech green display.]
[ He certainly could do that. And he does float the player - but only a few feet. He gets off his bed and walks the rest of the way himself. MOstly because he wants to see those bruises up close. ]
Rough, huh. Looks like more than that.
[ He pauses, turning the MP3 player over in his hand. ]
[Minato is unaccustomed to personal attention and is nonplussed for a moment. He's gone through worse, and suffers from a definite case of placing himself last on the priority list.]
I didn't know that. I can heal dangerous things, but it left the bruises. Do you think I should ask?
[Left to his own devices, he'd just silently live with it. At least he almost always does what he's told.]
[That's what happens when you don't have any memories of actual adults taking care of you, and got friends for the first time at age seventeen...
Minato would've gone just to make Hiro less worried, but the added bonus of making someone else feel better as well puts it over into too much to ignore.] Alright. I understand helping others making you feel better. What has he been stressed about?
[This might veer into gossip territory if not for Minato's simple, unpressured curiosity.]
[ Between that and Minato's first impression, Hiro is more inclined to trust him than not; still, he hesitates for a moment. Now that Tadashi knows, shouldn't he leave telling people up to him? But then again, Tadashi has to assume that most of Hiro's friends know ... Ugh, he can't decide. ]
It's a little complicated. But basically, we've been separated for about eight months.
[Minato certainly doesn't mind not being trusted with the full story. They haven't interacted that many times, after all.
Some of his normal stoicism melts into a look of sympathy.] Then he's worried about what happened to you while he wasn't there? [he interprets, since that's what would've been his concern.] Maybe you can both make up for it now.
[It's not like Minato has told him what he considers the important parts about his own death.]
You probably need time, to really believe that you're both here... [Like Minato needs time to believe he's really alive? Exactly like that.] Is it hard when you're talking? [He could easily see it being uncomfortable if, say, he were here for eight months and then Yukari showed up.]
[This sure sounds like a direction toward a new social link if Minato's ever heard one. But mostly, he's genuinely concerned for his own sake. He likes Hiro and Tadashi. He can tell that they're good people.]
He probably wouldn't want to talk to me, since we don't know each other... But I could hang out with him sometimes so he has something to do.
[It's not Minato if he's not occasionally making people question his mental state.]
You have friends, too, [he points out non-urgently, but intently.] I'm sure you have others, but as part of SEES, if you need anything, just ask. Even if it's something like hanging out... or making sure your brother has someone to protect him when things are dangerous.
[Since as far as Minato is aware, Tadashi isn't much of a combatant. (Not that he, at this point, thinks Hiro is either; he's just too experienced with Ken to use him as an example of needing protection.)]
[Hey, Minato the emotionally incompetent figured it out. He has confidence Hiro will get it eventually.]
Of course. [A moment of silence before Minato decides to give him some background that he'll probably need as a team member, even if he's keeping it unspecific for now.]
You should know... Everyone in SEES is alone. If we have any living family, they don't want to see us. So we all rely on each other. Even when we don't get along, we'll be there.

Up to you, I guess. But he loves helping people, y'know? And he's been stressed out lately, so you might help him take his mind off things.

We were always together before. He was my only friend for a long time. So when stuff happens, both of us worry.

Right. I told him I'd explain to him about SEES. I can use that as an excuse. So... don't worry, Tadashi-san won't be alone.

... Good. I mean, I'm here, and he has me, just ... He could use all the friends he can get right now.
