[And there it goes, healing right up under his hand. Though the comment gets him wondering. Has he really helped? He feels like hasn't done much but make things worse since he got here. He remembers Hiro wanting them to be honest and talk about problems but this isn't even something he should worry his little brother about. ]

[ The only thing left is a faint, red scar where the burn used to be. He shrugs his shirt back up. Now that he's actually paying more attention to his brother, he's starting to read him a little better. Like now, hearing that uncertainty in Tadashi's voice. ]

It's more than that. You showing up at my party was the best thing that's happened to me since ... ever.

[Nuh lil bro you're not supposed to read him at all, he is the unshakable, amazing big bro who just happens to be having a series of mental crises since he's gotten here.]

Well, glad you guys had music playing to get my attention so I'd go in.

[ The mental crises are a little obvious okay. Even though Hiro can't see the full depth and breadth of them. He huffs a bit at that comment, but manages a smile. ]

We didn't do that on purpose, you dope.

[Then he'll just have to work on getting better at hiding them won't he. When he can get Hiro to smile, he smiles himself finally.]

[ He punches at his brother's shoulder lightly. ]

I'm glad you're here.

[tadeadshi]

[Aw look Hiro got his brother to laugh a little.]

Well I wasn't gonna let you stay anywhere else. They just saved us some trouble.

[He smirks and fingers along the band he was working on then tosses it to Hiro]

[ He fumbles it a little, but having techkinesis sure does help his reaction time. ]

[Full trust in Hiro's abilities to put it back together.]

Okay. Then let's see...

[ He concentrates for a moment, then makes a tugging motion with his fingers. The bracelet separates into its component parts, like an exploded view on a blueprint. Hmm ... ]

[tadeadshi]

[A little part of him tenses - he isn't touching it so he can't feel it being pulled apart, but he knows the feeling well enough now to know how it should feel. Tadashi watched thr parts float between them.]

I haven't made our modifications yet, so it's the same as the collar, scaled down.

[microbrobotics]

Yeah... I can see that. I mean I think the mechanism works, just ...

[ Ah. He pulls the power source out from the rest of it. Turning it around in the air. ]

Betcha this is the issue. Scaling down the power is the hardest part

[He gets the collar in one hand, getting a mental picture of its power source and watches the smaller one. He can definitely tell differences now but reaches to take it and hold them both.]

Figured as much. Might need to tweak the design a little to let a bigger power source be attached then.

Yeah. Just stick it in the middle and really pretend it's a watch.

[ A pause. ]

I could go back and look at our generator more too. See if I can come up with any ideas. I was gonna test some stuff on it anyway.

[tadeadshi]

That'll work then.

[Hahahaha weeks' worth of work designated to 'just use what's there' solution. He almost thinks it a waste, but decides that's just information to store away for future projects. With that decided, he takes the in-progress source and gets to working on it again.]

Yeah? What've you got in mind?

[ Well. They still have to figure out something that lets his other powers through. But if they just want to get something that works period ... Hiro wants to have his brother actually sleep sometime this month, okay. ]

I'm thinking reprogramming it to broadcast something else. Maybe a small boost?

[tadeadshi]

[Ha. Sleep is for the weak and those that don't hurt their little brother; it's gonna eat him up inside for a while. He punches some measurements to send off to the printer and rolls his chair over to Hiro while he waits for it to finish.]

What would you even boost? Dunno if you'd want to make other people's powers stronger, that may cause some problems.

[ He seems enthusiastic about this "reprogram the generator" idea, at least, even if he hasn't thought it through all the way yet. ]

I don't want to dampen them either. There'd be no point in testing that.

[tadeadshi]

Right, no.

[He looks to the generator, rubbing his chin.]

Something simple to set up and test, easily reversible with little potential damage.

Exactly. I dunno how far this thing can broadcast either. Gonna try and pin it down to just my room but ...

... You were going to try some ideas with the nanites before. About how they heal to speed up aging, yeah? Could be something.

[microbrobotics]

[ Oh Tadashi. You have no idea what you've just done. ]

... maybe. Maybe I could. Oh man, that'd be crazy.

[He doesn't and he'll hate it for the next two weeks]
